1. According to production capacity, asphalt plant can be divided into: small, medium and large.
Small asphalt plant, productivity below 40t/h;
Medium asphalt plant, productivity in the 40-400t/h;
Large asphalt plant, productivity more than 400t/h.

2. According to the way of moving, it can be divided into: mobile, semi-stationary and stationary.
Mobile asphalt plant, that is silos and mixer with tires. With construction site changing,it can also moving. This type is suitable for county and highway and low-grade highway projects;
Semi-stationary asphalt plant, that is equipments mounted on several trailers, assembled at the construction site, and more for road construction;
Stationary asphalt plant, it is that the location of equipment is stationary , also known as asphalt concrete processing plant, suitable for engineering, urban road construction.

3. According to the mixing process, asphalt plant can be divided into: continuous drum asphalt mixing plant and batch type asphalt plant.
Continuous drum mixing plant, it is continuous to produce asphalt concrete, aggregate drying and asphalt mixing in the same drum;
Batch mixing plant, it is that aggregate heating and mixture mixing is forcibly carried out periodically. One pot after one pot separately mixing. Each pot of mixing needs 45 seconds to 60 seconds, and the capacity depends on the equipment models.
